Indian travel influencer Anunay Sood, who was found dead inside a hotel room in Las Vegas earlier this month, likely died from a drug overdose, according to new information accessed by 8 News Now Investigators. This update comes as officers piece together what happened inside the Wynn Las Vegas on November 4. Sood, 32, had over 1.5 million followers on Instagram and was in the city to attend the Las Vegas Concours 2025 car show. His presence at the event was visible through multiple posts on his social media account.

What Police Found at the Wynn Las Vegas Hotel

Las Vegas Metro Police officers discovered Sood unresponsive inside his room at the upscale Wynn property. The room also contained narcotics, according to official documents, including a small bag with an unknown white substance and other evidence that the group had snorted the powder. Police records state that Sood was staying with a woman, who later provided a detailed account of the night.

Witness Account: What Happened Hours Before His Death

The woman told investigators that around 4 a.m., she and Sood purchased what they believed was cocaine from a man on the casino floor. She said that she, Sood and another woman used the substance inside the hotel room and then fell asleep. Approximately an hour later, the two women woke up to find Sood unresponsive. Emergency responders were called, but Sood was declared dead at the scene.

Cause of Death Still Pending Confirmation

Although investigators suspect a drug overdose, the Clark County coroner’s office has listed the cause and manner of death as pending. Full toxicology results, which confirm if a substance directly contributed to death, can take months to process. As of Monday, officials said no arrests have been made in connection with the case.
