Dubai is set to become the global hub of the creator economy as the 1 Billion Followers Summit 2026 begins from January 9 to 11, bringing together some of the world’s most influential digital creators. Widely regarded as the largest gathering of content creators globally, the summit will host over 15,000 creators and more than 500 speakers, whose combined audience reach exceeds 3.5 billion followers.
A Global Creator Gathering in Dubai
Organised by the UAE Government Media Office, the sold-out three-day event is being held across key locations, including Emirates Towers, Dubai International Financial Centre and the Museum of the Future. With the theme Content for Good, the summit positions Dubai as a serious global hub for digital storytelling, creator-led businesses and responsible influence.
Strong Indian Presence on the Global Stage
Indian creators feature prominently at this year’s summit, reflecting India’s growing relevance in the global creator ecosystem. Among the key names are Dhruv Rathee and Revant Himatsingka, both of whom represent a shift towards education-led and purpose-driven content gaining international traction.
Dhruv Rathee, known for his explainer videos on social, political and environmental issues, commands a global YouTube following of over 30 million subscribers. His presence at the summit highlights how Indian educational creators are increasingly influencing audiences well beyond India.
Revant Himatsingka, popularly known as Food Pharmer, has built a loyal digital community by decoding food labels and questioning misleading health and nutrition claims. His participation reflects the rising global appetite for wellness-focused, accountability-driven creator content.

MrBeast and the Scale of Global Influence
Sharing the stage with Indian creators is MrBeast, the most subscribed individual creator on YouTube, who recently crossed 450 million subscribers. Known for combining large-scale philanthropy with viral formats, MrBeast is one of the central figures of the 2026 edition.
A major highlight this year is the 1 Billion Acts of Kindness initiative, launched in collaboration with MrBeast, the Varkey Foundation and Mohammed Bin Rashid Global Initiatives. The project aims to translate online influence into real-world impact, including building an entire village in Ghana with access to clean water, education, healthcare and sustainable livelihoods. Selected creators will participate on-ground, with the journey documented for a global audience.
Beyond Fame: Business, Responsibility and Impact
Beyond headline names, the summit places strong emphasis on the economics and responsibility of influence. Sessions will cover creator monetisation, brand collaborations, platform diversification, artificial intelligence, short-form video, live streaming, mental health and ethical content creation.
As Indian creators take their place alongside the world’s biggest digital voices, the summit signals a clear shift: India is no longer just producing content for domestic audiences, but shaping global creator conversations around knowledge, health and social impact.
