Comedian Couple Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiyaa are taking their on-screen chemistry to a bigger stage with Indian Game Show. The comedian-host and writer-producer duo are combining friendship, humour and large-scale games to create an entertaining television experience. Speaking to The New Indian Express (NIE), the couple opened up about their journey in comedy, working together as partners, balancing professional commitments with family life and their plans to enter the OTT space.
Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiyaa Bring Their Banter to Indian Game Show
The show’s tagline, “Jahaan Doston Ko Phasayenge Aur Aapko Hasaayenge,” captures its central idea: putting friends through entertaining challenges while making audiences laugh. Bharti explained that their experience hosting game shows and audience requests through their vlogs and podcasts inspired the project. The duo initially brought Indian Game Show to YouTube before Sony approached them for television. Haarsh also highlighted the show’s scale, describing its swimming pool, giant slide, stairs and large-scale games. Drawing comparisons to Takeshi’s Castle, he believes the format offers an experience rarely seen on Indian television.
How Their Real-Life Chemistry Shapes Their Comedy
For Bharti and Haarsh, hosting together does not require putting on an act. Their everyday relationship already revolves around friendly teasing, playful arguments and spontaneous humour. Bharti described their home as a place where the banter never stops. From disagreements over food to decisions about taking their children out in the rain, the couple finds humour in ordinary situations. She also emphasised that their relationship goes beyond marriage. Being best friends allows them to roast each other, disagree and quickly make up without taking things too seriously. This natural dynamic carries over to the screen, making their hosting style feel personal rather than rehearsed.
Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiyaa Reflect on Their Journey
Bharti’s journey in television has taken her from participating in reality shows to hosting her own programmes. She described this progression as a rewarding experience, reflecting on how each opportunity has helped her grow professionally. She also spoke about starting her career without industry connections. Having arrived in Mumbai from Punjab knowing very few people, Bharti remains grateful for the recognition and affection she receives from audiences today.
For Haarsh, the transition from writing and directing to appearing on screen came through taking opportunities as they arose. He explained that he prefers to work, learn from the results and improve rather than overthink every decision beforehand. His experience as a writer, producer, creator and host has also taught him that the work continues beyond the shoot, from preparation and execution to planning future projects.
Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiyaa Plan to Launch a Micro-Drama Platform
Beyond television, the couple is preparing to enter the growing micro-drama space. Haarsh revealed to NIE that they have been developing their own micro-drama app for the past two to three years. The project has involved considerable effort, and several shows have already been created for the platform.
Their planned launch marks another step in their journey as creators and producers, expanding their work beyond traditional television formats. With Indian Game Show bringing their signature humour to television and a micro-drama platform in development, Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiyaa are exploring new ways to entertain audiences while continuing to build their careers together.
