An Engineer Who Turned His First Paycheck into Financial Freedom: The Rise of Bhavesh Garg
The story of Bhavesh Garg, his shift to finance, expert guides, interviews, content and mission to build India’s wealth.
This is about the journey, expertise, interviews, content, certifications and mission of Bhavesh Garg, a finance creator, an AMFI-registered mutual fund distributor and CEO of VSN Financial Services, who is teaching financial literacy for Indians with his simple explainers, calculators, wealth stories and crisp money guides. Here’s why knowing his story matters and why his content shouldn’t be skipped.
Why does his work matter?
In an online landscape full of loud opinions about money, Bhavesh Garg, known on Instagram as @filogical_bhavesh, stands out for doing something simple: making personal finance feel simple, trustworthy and human. With 29.7K followers and a fast-growing digital footprint, he blends humour, empathy and technical expertise to teach Indians the art of wealth-building.
Behind his calm delivery and simple infographics is the journey of an engineer who worked abroad, returned to India and gradually transitioned into building a financial services practice and content creation. What began with investing his first paycheck eventually became a long-term path toward financial independence, one he now shares with thousands of others.
The making of a new-age finance educator
Before he became a familiar name in the world of personal finance, Bhavesh was nowhere near this industry. He studied Mechanical Engineering at Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology (2008–2012), where he actively participated in Formula Hybrid Italy, robotics activities, quizzes and debates, sharpening both technical and analytical skills early on.
His first professional chapter unfolded internationally. With nearly 7 years of experience in Japan and Thailand, he worked in Research & Development at Honda, where he developed precision, discipline and a customer-centric mindset. That multicultural experience shaped his ability to decode complex systems, a strength that now reflects in his crisp financial explainers.
Growing up in a family deeply rooted in the world of stock markets and financial services, he absorbed the rhythms of investing from an early age. His father spent three decades in the industry and that exposure planted the seeds of curiosity that later became his full-time work.

Turning a paycheck into a life mission
Bhavesh’s journey into investing began with a simple act: putting money from his first paycheck in 2012 into the stock market. That one decision set him on the path that eventually led to financial independence in his early 30s.
After years of disciplined wealth-building, he shifted from engineering to becoming a financial mentor. In February 2021, he stepped into the role of CEO, the Chief Emotional Officer of VSN Financial Services, based in Chandigarh.
His title isn’t just a role. It defines a philosophy: People don’t lack logic when investing; they struggle with emotions. His mission is to guide corporate professionals, NRIs, and everyday Indian investors toward steady financial freedom rather than impulsive decisions.
