Ranveer Allahbadia Deletes Instagram Post After Trolls Target Him Over Ceasefire Message to Pakistan

Ranveer Allahbadia landed in controversy after he shared a heartfelt message on Instagram on May 10 to Pakistani citizens. He spoke about peace, love, and the difference between Pakistan’s citizens and its army/ISI, but Indian social media users trolled him. The post was later deleted. Here’s the full story that led to this online storm.

What Happened With Ranveer Allahbadia?

On May 10, right after news of a ceasefire violation between India and Pakistan started making rounds, Ranveer Allahbadia posted a multi-slide message on Instagram. Known for his calm and spiritual tone, Ranveer attempted to bridge the emotional gap between both countries by apologising to Pakistan’s citizens. But instead of appreciation, what followed was trolling and backlash.

The Instagram Post That Went Viral Before Being Deleted

In his emotional note, Ranveer addressed the people of Pakistan and began with:

“Dear Pakistani brothers and sisters, I will get hate from many Indians for this, but it needs to be said. Like many Indians, I too do not have hatred for you in my heart. Many of us want peace.”

He further mentioned that whenever Indians meet Pakistanis, they feel warmth and respect. However, he made it very clear that his issue was not with the people but with Pakistan’s military and secret service (ISI).

He went on to write: The government does not run your country. Your army and ISI run it. The average Pakistani is very different from these two things. The average Pakistani has dreams of peace and prosperity.

Ranveer Shared “Proofs” About Pakistan’s Military Involvement

To support his views, Ranveer listed three proofs in his post:

  1. All terrorists caught in recent years were originally from Pakistan.
  2. Pakistan’s military leaders attended the state funeral of Hafiz Abdul Rauf, the brother of the Jaish-e-Mohammed chief.
  3. Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Asif admitted to state-sponsored terrorism during an interview with Sky News.

These statements, while factual, triggered strong reactions from both sides of the border.

Ranveer’s Apology to the Pakistani Public

In the same post, Ranveer added a line many found sensitive:

“Sorry from the heart if it seems that we are spreading hatred. Indians who have met Pakistanis understand your point but both Indian and Pakistani media are spreading lies at this time.”

He mentioned how most of the population wants peace, especially for innocent people living near the border. At the same time, he highlighted India’s aim of ending state-sponsored terrorism by the Pakistani Army and ISI.

His Closing Message: “Hope Peace Prevails. Inshallah.”

This is not about Indian people vs Pakistani people. It is India vs the Pakistani Army and ISI. Hope peace prevails for a long time. Inshallah. This line stood out, as it separated common people from military systems.

Post Deleted After Backlash

Despite his careful and emotional tone, Ranveer’s post didn’t sit well with some Indian users. The comment section was flooded with angry remarks. While some people supported his message of peace, many accused him of being too diplomatic or not standing with the Indian Army during a tense moment. After a few hours of going viral, Ranveer deleted the entire post from his Instagram profile.

Ranveer Gets Views From Pakistan Too

For those who follow Ranveer’s podcasts regularly, it’s known that he has a significant audience in Pakistan. In a past podcast, he openly admitted that millions of his views come from Pakistan. This could be one of the reasons he decided to make a peace appeal, but it backfired.

Was Ranveer Allahbadia wrong to ask for peace? Or did the timing of his message turn it into a controversy?

While the debate continues, one thing is sure: in the age of social media, even a message for peace can quickly become a target for trolling. What do you think? Should influencers speak out during international tensions, or stay silent?
