Netflix Brings Korea’s Top Creators to Battle for Social Supremacy on The Influencer
Netflix is set to redefine the survival reality genre with its latest release, The Influencer. This high-stakes competition pits some of South Korea’s most influential social media stars against each other in a battle for supremacy. With a combined following of over 120 million, these online personalities swap their carefully crafted digital personas for the raw intensity of reality TV.
The show promises a thrilling spectacle as influencers from various platforms, including YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and AfreecaTV, compete for the coveted title of “top influencer.” From crafting viral content to mastering social media strategies, contestants will be pushed to their limits as they face challenges designed to test their digital prowess, presence, and reach.
“The Influencer” Cast:
The Influencer boasts a star-studded cast, including some of South Korea’s most beloved social media stars. Beauty guru and YouTuber RISABAE with a massive following of 2.25 million, is set to trade her makeup brushes for survival challenges. Travel enthusiast PaniBottle, known for her captivating adventures and boasting 1.97 million subscribers, will swap her passport for a chance to conquer the competition. Fitness fanatic and YouTuber Shim Euddeum, a familiar face from Physical: 100, will bring her athleticism and determination to the show.
Adding an unexpected twist, the cast also includes actor Jang Keun-suk, a global Hallyu star with a burgeoning YouTube channel. His participation is sure to draw in a wider audience and inject a new level of competition into the show. At his peak, he was nicknamed as “Prince of Asia” due to his immense popularity both in Korea and abroad. His dramas “You’re Beautiful” and “Love Rain” were part of the first wave of K-dramas that gained fame outside the country. The actor/singer has now transitioned successfully to focus more as an influencer with 651K followers on IG and 154K subscribers on YouTube.

- Sia Jiwoo: A TikTok sensation with 27.3 million followers, representing the next generation of digital stars.
- G.van: A drag artist with 1.1 million followers, adding a unique and vibrant personality to the cast.
- MyBoo: A cosplay YouTuber with 360,000 followers, bringing her creativity and passion for character portrayal to the show.
The creators of My Little Television, a pioneering influencer-centric reality show, are at the helm of this show. Considering this, The Influencer promises to be another entertaining spectacle. With Netflix’s track record of producing hit survival shows, anticipation is high for this clash of online titans.
