Shivani Schulz's Journey from a Delhi Orphanage to a Life Full of Love

Shivani Schulz was just six when she lost her mother at a crowded Indian railway station and ended up in an orphanage. Eighteen years later, she returned with her husband and baby to meet the woman who once cared for her. Shivani’s return wasn’t just a trip, it was a closure to a painful past. Her journey holds healing and gratitude, wrapped in memories and tears.

Lost at a Train Station, Found by a Stranger

Shivani’s life took a tragic turn in a blink. After her parents divorced, she and her younger brother often travelled between their parents’ homes. On one such trip, something unexpected happened. Shivani lost her grip on her mother’s hand at a crowded railway station. As the passengers cleared, their mother was nowhere to be found. She was left holding her younger brother’s hand, alone, scared, and confused. A kind stranger took them to an orphanage meant for babies. That act of kindness became their turning point. A week later, they were shifted to another orphanage in Delhi, where they stayed for three years.

From Orphanage to Adoption: A New Beginning

Shivani remembers being six when a foreign couple adopted her and her brother. They left India and started a new life in a new country. It was a fresh start for Shivani, but not without emotional baggage.

Over time, she stopped speaking Hindi.

Up until my adoption, I was fluent in speaking Hindi. But because of the pain, trauma, and anger I had towards my past, I purposely decided to stop speaking my mother tongue and only speak English.

Shivani also shared that the same wonderful family adopted her and her brother. But it gets even better: Her brother married her husband’s little sister. So now, their bond is not just by adoption; they are truly family forever.

Meeting the Woman Who Once Mothered Her

Years later, Shivani returned to India and visited the orphanage. There, she met the caretaker, who had looked after her and her brother like a mother.

She posted: This woman took care of my brother and me. When I saw her again, she smiled but mostly kept her distance. It wasn’t until we were leaving that she started to cry.

That emotional moment, the silent tears, and the warm hug spoke louder than any words could. Even though Shivani couldn’t speak Hindi anymore and the woman didn’t understand English, they shared a moment of pure human connection.

“In that moment, I felt like I was looking at my birth mom, in a way, this woman was a mom to me for three years.”

Internet Reacts with Tears and Love

The emotional reunion resonated with people all over the world. Many flooded her comments section with heartfelt messages.

  • One user wrote, “There’s a universal language called LOVE, and we all can speak and understand it.”
  • Another person shared, “I got emotional after watching this reel because sometimes biological parents fail to show love and care for their own children, but she did for you.”
  • Someone beautifully described the scene, “An orphanage is a temple without any religion, caste or hatred. This touched me and made me cry.”

The Painful Past Shivani Carries

Shivani’s early childhood was far from easy. She shared in her videos that her biological father was abusive, often hurting her mother and even threatening her with a gun. After their divorce, the children were caught in the crossfire of two broken homes. Yet, from that trauma came transformation. Now, her content focuses on empowerment, healing, and self-discovery. She shares her journey to help others find hope in their pain.

Empowering Through Content: Shivani’s Healing Mission

Shivani Schulz’s content is not just about her adoption story. They reflect on life lessons, emotional healing, overcoming childhood pain, and rediscovering identity. She builds a space with each reel where people, especially women, can relate, reflect, and rebuild.

“Inspiring women is my passion, I share my story to help you find hope and healing in yours.”

Through her raw, emotional storytelling, Shivani gives people worldwide the strength to confront their pasts and embrace their futures.

She consistently posts videos about:

  • Childhood trauma and healing
  • Mental health and identity
  • Self-love and forgiveness
  • Navigating life as an adopted child
  • The power of empathy and human connection

Her Instagram is more than a profile, it’s a community of survivors, seekers, and supporters.

Love Beyond Words

Shivani Schulz’s return to the orphanage reminds us that kindness can change a life, that a moment can carry a lifetime of emotion, and that even when language fails, love never does. Her story shows that the past doesn’t have to define you, but it can inspire others if you’re brave enough to tell it.
