Tanmay Bhat Has Quietly Invested in 24 Startups. Here's the Full Portfolio

For millions of Indians, Tanmay Bhat is the comedian who helped redefine digital entertainment. Today, he is building another identity altogether. Away from YouTube videos and podcasts, Bhat has emerged as one of India’s most active creator-investors, quietly backing startups across multiple sectors. His portfolio spans fintech, creator economy, healthtech, climate technology, SaaS, Web3, consumer brands and gaming infrastructure. The list includes well-known startups alongside emerging early-stage companies, reflecting a long-term approach rather than chasing trends.

From Creator to Startup Investor

Tanmay Bhat’s startup journey began long before creator investing became fashionable.

His entrepreneurial career started with All India Bakchod (AIB) in 2012. Later, he co-founded Moonshot Media, expanding into creator-led production and digital media.

Alongside content creation, he steadily entered angel investing. Today, his portfolio includes 24 startups across India, Singapore and other international markets. His investments primarily focus on consumer businesses, fintech and technology-driven startups.

The Startups Tanmay Bhat Has Backed

The latest portfolio showcases investments across multiple industries.

In fintech, he has backed CRED, smallcase, Fi Money and Wint Wealth.

In healthtech, his portfolio includes Ultrahuman.

Climate technology is represented by Alt Carbon.

Creator economy and commerce investments include Rigi and Hypd.

His startup bets also extend to Mainstreet, Growth School, EquityList, Rotoris, Trackk and several emerging technology companies.

The diversity reflects a portfolio built around India’s growing digital economy rather than a single niche.

CRED Remains His Biggest Success Story

Among all his investments, CRED stands out as the portfolio’s unicorn.

The Bengaluru-based fintech company has raised over $944 million and remains one of India’s most recognised startup brands.

Backing a unicorn places Tanmay among a small group of Indian creators whose investment portfolios have already produced billion-dollar companies.

Recent Investments Show His Continued Focus

Tanmay has remained active as an angel investor.

His most recent investment came in Trackk, which raised $3.7 million in a seed round in February 2026.

Before that, he participated in the seed funding of Rotoris, alongside investors including Nikhil Kamath and Vivek Anand Oberoi.

He also backed climate-tech startup Alt Carbon and AI-focused platform Unikon.ai, signalling continued interest in emerging technologies.

Why More Creators Are Becoming Investors

The creator economy has evolved beyond advertising revenue.

Many leading creators now use their reach, industry knowledge and networks to support early-stage startups. Instead of only promoting products, they increasingly become shareholders in businesses they believe can scale.

Tanmay Bhat represents one of India’s strongest examples of this shift.

His influence extends beyond entertainment into entrepreneurship, startup mentorship and business strategy.

More Than a Content Creator

While audiences continue to know him for comedy, podcasts and YouTube collaborations, Tanmay has quietly built a reputation inside India’s startup ecosystem. His portfolio reflects conviction across sectors instead of short-term hype. From fintech and AI to creator tools and climate innovation, his investments mirror the changing face of India’s digital economy. As creator-investors become increasingly influential, Tanmay Bhat is proving that building companies may become just as significant as building audiences.
