Saloni Kukreja partners with Singapore’s Changi Airport for a food campaign

Singapore Changi Airport has teamed up with food creator Saloni Kukreja for “Changi Dished Out,” a campaign that encourages Indian travellers to experience the airport through its diverse culinary offerings. Instead of presenting Changi as merely a transit hub, the collaboration showcases it as a destination where visitors can sample cuisines from across the world. All without leaving the terminal!

What makes ‘Changi Dished Out’ different from a typical travel campaign?

The campaign uses Saloni’s approachable storytelling to simplify international cuisine for Indian audiences. Rather than overwhelming travellers with unfamiliar dishes, she compares them to well-known Indian favourites, making global flavours feel more relatable. Her content is especially useful for first-time visitors to Singapore who may be hesitant to step outside their comfort zone.

Which food trails can visitors explore at Changi Airport?

Beyond the videos, travellers can follow curated food trails based on their preferences. These include a Traditionally Southeast Asian Trail featuring Chicken Satay, Laksa, Kaya Toast and Curry Puff; a Luxury Dining Trail; Wellness Bites for healthier options; a Sweet Tooth Stopover for desserts and artisanal ice creams; Chai & Coffee Corners serving local kopi, Thai milk tea and chai lattes; and a Vegetarian Trail with steamed dumplings, plant-based nasi lemak, Ice Kachang and even a North Indian thali from Bikanervala.

Why do Saloni’s Indian references make the campaign more relatable?

One of the campaign’s biggest strengths is its localisation. Saloni compares Chicken Satay to chicken tikka, Curry Puff to a samosa and Ice Kachang to gola, while recommending North Indian thali for travellers craving familiar comfort food. These comparisons make unfamiliar dishes less intimidating and encourage Indian audiences to confidently explore global cuisines.

What can travellers expect from the three-part video series?

The campaign unfolds through three themed episodes. ‘Noodles Without Borders’ explores noodle dishes from Southeast Asia, Japan and China. ‘Different Folds for Different Folks’ dives into dumplings from around the world, explaining their unique styles with easy Indian references. ‘Global Gravies, Universal Cravings’ celebrates comforting sauce-based dishes, drawing parallels between flavours like butter chicken and teriyaki to show how every culture has its own version of comfort food.

How does this partnership benefit both Changi Airport and travellers?

The campaign features popular dining destinations such as Ya Kun Kaya Toast, Din Tai Fung, Old Chang Kee, Birds of Paradise, Hudsons Coffee and Bikanervala, among others. By combining trusted creator-led storytelling with Changi’s multicultural food scene, the collaboration positions the airport as a culinary destination while inspiring Indian travellers to embrace new flavours before they even leave the airport.
