Legal Team Calls Arrest “Misuse of Law”

In a statement released on social media, Akshay Vashisth’s legal team, led by Advocate Meghna Nimbekar, alleged that the arrest was unlawful and constituted harassment. They claimed the video mentioned “facts” about the airport, which subscribers and viewers also confirmed.

They further argued that the mandatory legal provision of serving a Notice to the accused was misused, as an arrest was not warranted in this case.

According to their statement, after being detained for an entire day, Akshay Vashisth was finally produced before the Duty Magistrate in Pernem, Goa, at 11:00 PM, where they said “justice was rightly served.”
