At just 18 years old, Hardy founded Pure Bhangra, which would later grow into one of the Middle East’s most recognized Bhangra crews.

Back then, building a Bhangra community in Dubai sounded unrealistic to many people because the scene barely existed. But that became Hardy’s biggest advantage. Since Pure Bhangra was one of the only dedicated Bhangra groups in the region, opportunities slowly started flowing toward them; performances, festivals, competitions, workshops, and stage shows.

Today, Pure Bhangra has expanded to more than 30 members, many of whom are now professional trainers themselves. Under Hardy’s leadership, the team has become known for energetic choreography, cultural storytelling, and workshops that introduce Punjabi dance traditions to audiences across the world.

How Did Hardy Singh Balance A Corporate Job And Bhangra For 12 Years Before Going Full-Time? 

But behind the performances was another reality entirely. For nearly 12 years, Hardy balanced two completely different worlds at the same time. During the day, he worked full-time corporate jobs, slowly climbing from hard labour environments all the way into Public Relations roles. In the evenings, he transformed into a Bhangra instructor, choreographer, and performer. Morning meetings. Evening rehearsals. Weekend workshops.

For more than a decade, he quietly carried both careers together because passion alone wasn’t enough to survive financially. Even after building Pure Bhangra for years, there was still no certainty that dance could ever become a full-time career.

In 2023, Hardy finally made the decision he had been thinking about for years. He quit his corporate job with only a few months of savings and no backup plan. But according to Hardy, the transition was far more difficult than people imagined. Many people who initially encouraged him slowly disappeared once the risk became real.

There were periods where he intentionally ate less to reduce expenses. Months passed without buying anything for himself. Behind the glamour people associate with entertainment and dance was a reality filled with uncertainty, sacrifice, and isolation. Still, he kept going.

What Made Hardy Singh’s 36-Country Bhangra World Tour So Unique? 

Between 2024 and 2025, Hardy launched what became one of the most ambitious projects of his career: a solo Bhangra workshop world tour across 36 countries. The tour was not just about performances. It was about building entire communities.

In several countries, Hardy introduced structured Bhangra workshops to audiences that had little or no existing Bhangra culture. From first-time dancers to Punjabi diaspora communities reconnecting with their roots, the workshops became spaces of identity, celebration, and belonging.

Over time, Hardy evolved from simply being a dance instructor into someone actively helping globalize Punjabi culture through performance and education.

How Did Hardy Singh Become Karan Aujla’s Bhangra Choreographer For The P Pop Culture Tour? 

One of the biggest milestones in Hardy’s career came when he joined Karan Aujla’s P Pop Culture World Tour as a Bhangra choreographer. Performing in front of crowds reaching nearly 90,000 people became an emotional full-circle moment for him.

Standing on those massive stages, Hardy often thought back to the younger version of himself, the quiet boy working in a carpentry factory, trying to figure out where he belonged.
