According to Shilpa, Sanjay Kohli and his wife reached out to her after the podcast episode went viral. She claimed they encouraged her to ignore public criticism and thanked her for finally clarifying the matter. “I spoke to them. They told me to let people say whatever they want. They called me to thank me,” she said.

Shilpa added that she told the producer that both of them knew the truth and that she was no longer afraid of speaking openly about what had happened. She described the conversation as confirmation that publicly admitting the truth was the right thing to do.

The confession has triggered strong reactions from both social media users and members of the entertainment industry. Actor Hina Khan publicly criticised Shilpa’s admission, describing the use of sexual harassment allegations during a dispute as “absolutely shameful” and calling Sanjay Kohli the real victim in the situation. Shilpa later responded to Hina’s remarks, accusing people of using her name for publicity and warning that she could reveal information that would change public perception of her critics.
