What Happened On Haridwar Bypass Road?

According to police, officers reached the location after receiving information about an altercation.

The police claimed they found Anurag Dobhal and his associates allegedly assaulting Raj Singh Chauhan, who is identified as the cousin of Dobhal’s wife.

However, according to Dehradun SSP Pramendra Dobhal, tensions allegedly continued after the group reached the police outpost.

Police Say Another Clash Was Attempted At The Outpost

The SSP said Anurag Dobhal, along with Abhishek, Abhay Chaudhary and Kurbaan, allegedly tried to assault Chauhan again. Police personnel had instructed them to maintain peace. The situation reportedly became tense, drawing a crowd to the outpost. Police then called in additional personnel.

Police subsequently arrested the four under Section 170 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), according to the report, citing the need to maintain law and order.

The arrest followed the alleged escalation at the police outpost.
