Ravi Kishan Calls Himself an ‘Old Creator’

One of the memorable moments of the evening came when Ravi Kishan reflected on his journey in entertainment. After accepting the Icon of the Year award, he spoke about how his successes were not always planned. He credited his mistakes and Mahadev’s blessings for shaping his journey. He also recalled the first season of Bigg Boss, which aired two decades ago. When he repeated his famous line, “Zindagi jhandwa,” the audience responded with “fir bhi ghamandwa.”

Kishan used the moment to remind creators that digital content may be gaining visibility today. However, the idea of creating memorable, organic content has existed for years. He also advised creators not to react to every instance of online trolling. His remarks connected traditional entertainment with the creator culture that now thrives on social media platforms.

Bollywood and Digital Creators Share the Spotlight

The guest list reflected the growing overlap between mainstream entertainment and India’s creator community. Alongside Ravi Kishan and Divya Dutta, the ceremony welcomed Kubbra Sait, Saurabh Sachdeva, Aditya Uppal, Orry, Sufi Motiwala, Madhurima Tulli, Vishal Malhotra, Ruhi Singh, Ruhee Dosani, Rida Tharana, Shahzad Ali and Nasir Khan, among others.

The mix of guests also reflected the range of work now recognised within the digital entertainment space. Creators are building audiences around gaming, fashion, food, lifestyle and live performance. Meanwhile, actors, athletes and writers are finding ways to connect with audiences beyond their traditional mediums. By bringing these communities together, the Power Creator Awards placed different forms of content and storytelling within the same celebration.

What the Power Creator Awards 2026 Reflect About India’s Creator Economy

The awards offered a snapshot of how broadly the creator landscape has expanded. Recognition now extends beyond viral videos and follower counts to include gaming, literary work, fashion commentary, sports and live entertainment. The distinction between Jury Choice and Popular Choice also brought two forms of recognition into the ceremony. One came from evaluation by an industry panel, and another was support expressed through audience votes.

For creators, awards such as these provide a platform to gain visibility for their work. For the wider entertainment industry, they offer another way to acknowledge the people shaping online conversations and audience engagement. The Power Creator Awards 2026 brought these different worlds together. It recognised both familiar entertainment names and talent working across the evolving digital ecosystem.
