Amazon Creators Can Now Earn Money on YouTube and Pinterest in India

Amazon is giving Indian creators more ways to earn from their content. Announced on October 19, 2026, the expansion allows eligible creators to tag Amazon products across YouTube and Pinterest and earn commissions when viewers purchase through their recommendations. The move builds on Amazon’s growing creator-led commerce ecosystem in India. The company says its Amazon Influencer Program has reached 2 lakh creators, doubling year-on-year. Creators have also helped nearly 40 million customers shop on Amazon.in this year. With this expansion, creators can turn product recommendations, tutorials, reviews and inspiration-led content into additional earning opportunities.

How Can Creators Earn Through YouTube?

Amazon has joined the YouTube Shopping affiliate programme, allowing eligible creators to tag Amazon products directly in their content. The feature works across YouTube Shorts, long-form videos and livestreams.

When viewers tap a tagged product, they can explore it and complete their purchase on Amazon.in. Creators then earn commissions on qualifying purchases.

YouTube says more than 450 million people in India use the platform for shopping-related searches, creating an opportunity for creators to connect product discovery with purchasing decisions.

How to Get Started on YouTube

Creators can follow these steps to start tagging Amazon products:

  1. Sign in to YouTube Studio and open the Earn tab.
  2. Find the YouTube Shopping affiliate programme under Programs.
  3. Select Join Now and complete the enrolment process.
  4. Once eligible and enrolled, tag Amazon products in Shorts, videos and livestreams.
  5. Track product tags, performance insights and earnings through YouTube Studio.

How Can Creators Earn Through Pinterest?

Pinterest is also becoming another avenue for Amazon creators to monetise their content. Through Amazon Storefront linking, creators can connect their Amazon Storefront to their Pinterest account.

Once connected, Pinterest automatically applies the creator’s affiliate information when they tag eligible Amazon products in Pins. Their Amazon Storefront handle also appears on their Pinterest profile, allowing followers to explore their recommendations.

The integration could benefit creators who share product inspiration, fashion ideas, home decor, beauty recommendations, recipes and shopping guides on Pinterest.

How to Get Started on Pinterest

Creators can begin by following these steps:

  1. Connect their Amazon Storefront securely to their Pinterest account.
  2. Tag eligible Amazon products in their Pins.
  3. Let Pinterest automatically apply the relevant affiliate information.
  4. Display their Amazon Storefront on their profile so followers can discover their recommendations.

Amazon’s Creator Economy Is Growing Beyond Metro Cities

The YouTube and Pinterest integrations are part of Amazon’s broader effort to help creators build businesses through content and product recommendations.

According to Amazon, nearly 70% of shoppers purchasing through its creator programmes come from non-metro cities. Around 75% of creators in its ecosystem are also based outside major metropolitan areas.

The company has additionally reported a 60% year-on-year increase in earnings per creator.

Amazon supports creators through several initiatives. Creator Rewards offers performance-based incentives, while Creator Connections helps creators access brand campaigns and additional monetisation opportunities. Creator Central and Creator University provide performance insights, tools and learning resources.

What Does This Mean for Indian Creators?

For Indian creators, the expansion creates more opportunities to earn beyond traditional brand collaborations and sponsored posts. Eligible creators can recommend products within the content they already make and earn commissions when those recommendations lead to qualifying purchases.

It also brings product discovery and shopping closer together. Viewers can explore products featured in content and purchase them through Amazon.in, while creators can build their recommendations into a potential revenue stream.

However, creators should check the eligibility requirements and applicable affiliate terms before getting started. Commission rates and earnings can vary depending on the products purchased and the programme’s conditions.

As creator-led commerce continues to grow, Amazon’s latest integrations offer Indian creators another way to turn audience trust and useful content into earning opportunities.
