Elli AvrRam Slams Trolls Over ‘Body Count’ Remarks: Calls Them Misogynistic and Nasty
Actress Elli AvrRam opens up about trolling after a viral pic with Ashish Chanchlani and addresses misogynistic comments targeting women online.
Elli AvrRam made headlines after a picture of her with popular YouTuber Ashish Chanchlani went viral. The image, which was later revealed as a prank to promote their new romantic song Chandaniya, sparked dating rumours. Following the post, Elli faced massive trolling and vile ‘body count’ comments, with social media users making misogynistic remarks about her personal life. Just in the third week of October, months after the upload, Elli has spoken out, criticising the trolls for targeting women while men rarely face similar attacks. She described such comments as “nasty” and highlighted the unfair treatment women face online.
Understanding the Term ‘Body Count’
Elli admitted that she initially had no idea what the term ‘body count’ meant until her Gen-Z friends explained it. The term refers to the number of people one has been physically involved with, which made the trolling even more hurtful. Elli stated that the attacks reflect society’s double standards, noting that women are often unfairly portrayed as the “demons” while men are not subjected to the same scrutiny.

Support From Uorfi Javed
Elli AvrRam also appreciated actress Uorfi Javed for speaking up in her support on social media. She called Uorfi’s gesture “really sweet” and highlighted the importance of standing together against such misogynistic behaviour online.
Ashish Chanchlani Defends Elli
Back in July, Ashish Chanchlani had also addressed trolling. Responding to a fan’s comment on X, he clarified, “Those ‘people’ in my comments are not my audience/fans or followers. Half of them don’t even follow me. It’s a free platform and an open tweet, and all the disgusting things they said will never be supported or encouraged by me or my fans.” His response was later deleted, but showed his support for Elli amid the online attacks.
