Swiggy’s New Ad Featuring Influencers Sparks Mixed Reactions Online
Swiggy, the popular online food ordering and delivery platform, has generated significant buzz with its latest advertisement. The new commercial has captured the internet’s attention by bringing together a diverse group of viral influencers, creating what some are calling a “multiverse of memes.”
The ad features several well-known Indian internet personalities, including Puneet Superstar, Chandrika Gera (known as the “Delhi Vada Pav Girl”), Darshan Magdum (aka Dolly Chaiwala), Naeem Qureshi (famous for the “Dil Vich Tere Liye Time Kadke Meme”), the animated character Ganji Chudail, and Laxmi Sharma, recognized for her “Level Sabke Niklenge” catchphrase.
This unique gathering of influencers has excited many fans, with some even comparing it to a crossover better than “Infinity War.” However, the ad has also faced criticism, with some netizens labeling these influencers as creators of “cringe content.”
Reactions to the ad have been polarizing on Instagram. One user commented, “I uninstalled the Swiggy app after watching this cringe commercial. So Swiggy has money to hire these cringe ‘influencers’ but can’t pay enough to its own food delivery partners.” Another expressed, “Multiverse of Meme,” while others shared, “Uninstalled Swiggy App!”
On the other hand, some praised the creativity behind the campaign, with comments like “Biggest crossover in the advertising industry!!,” “Most creative ad ever by @Swiggy. Whoever had this idea should get a promotion!,” and “This is INSANEEE!! @SwiggyIndia YOU WON THE GAME.”

Despite the mixed reactions, Swiggy’s campaign cleverly promotes its newly launched Group Ordering feature, which is ideal for various occasions—from festivals and game nights to team lunches and meetings. As the festive season approaches, this feature allows users to easily select a restaurant, create a group order, and soon, even split the bill, enhancing the group dining experience.
